Job Title: Operations Manager
Position: Full time

Job Description:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Operations Manager will be responsible
for a broad range of tasks, projects and initiatives. In the short to medium term there will be a particular
focus on assisting the COO with the ongoing development of the Firm’s proprietary fund services
software and associated database.

The Operations Manager will work with all areas of the business to identify opportunities to improve
the way we work and the tools we use. By focusing on the continuous improvement of our processes
and systems, they will deliver increases in efficiency and enhancements to both internal operations and
the service we provide to our clients, investors and their advisers.

Line Manager: Chief Operating Officer
Main Duties and Responsibilities
System & IT
• Assist with the continuous development of the system, working closely with the Fund
Services Teams and the software developers to identify potential improvements.
• Take responsibility for the development and implementation of specific changes to the
system, as agreed with the COO.
• Assist with the operation of all IT systems, including software, hardware and the phone system.
Project management
• Liaise with all areas of the business to identify and define opportunities for improvement to
systems and processes, including enhancements to checks and controls.
• Lead internal projects and initiatives to deliver improvements across the full breadth of the
firm’s activities.
• Develop and implement a structured approach to project management.
General operations
• Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Firm’s office(s).
• Assist the COO with contract drafting and other legal matters.
• Assist the COO with general commercial requirements, such as insurance policies, outsourcing
arrangements and corporate certifications.

Skills and Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree.
• 5 years post grad experience in broad operations role within financial services.
• Hands-on experience of system development and implementation.
• Knowledge and understanding of venture capital market preferable.
• Experience of delivering small and medium sized projects across multiple teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Advanced working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Demonstrable initiative.
3-month objectives
• Develop good working knowledge of the products and services offered
• Take on responsibility for several projects and initiatives.
• Assist with Fund Administration tasks.
12-month objectives
• Deliver at least three significant projects or initiatives with measurable improvements to
systems and/or processes.
• Play a key role in the development of the system, measured by feedback from internal
and external users.
• Develop and implement a structured approach to project management.
• Become a respected and valued member of the team.
