Role: Financial Controller 
Positions: Permanent 
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000

Overview of the role:
  • Oversee all investment vehicle financials; including working with internal/external resources to prepare investor accounts/ statements, NAV and carry calculations, management of audits, and other ad-hoc accounting needs.
  • Prepare management accounts, budgeting/ forecasting process, fee calculations, vehicle performance calculations and maintain financial models for investment vehicles and the ECRED business.
  • Oversee all reporting requirements for ECRED investment vehicles, including liaising with internal and external resources to ensure the timely and accurate production of all reports.
  • Implement and monitor hedging programs for investment vehicles. Develop and maintain relationships with internal/external resources to facilitate the effective hedging of risk in accordance with applicable policies.
  • Manage all cash movements for investment vehicles, including capital calls, draw downs, distributions and water fall allocations. Play an active role in managing the drawdown process with investors.
  • Coordinate valuation workstreams related to investment vehicles and underlying investments in partnership with internal/external resources.
  • Support special projects related to middle and back office operations related to ECRED investment vehicles. 
Key skills required:

  • Relevant experience supporting a private debt / real estate private equity business.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with the confidence to thoughtfully assert ideas with a broad audience.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and attention to detail, have a strong sense of urgency, ability to take initiative and be proactive, and work well independently as well as within a team.
  • Hard working and independent, with a passion for problem solving and accuracy.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in investment management or banking, with direct experience in private investment strategies.
  • Strong familiarity with private fund structures and terminology, with history of working collaboratively with external and internal constituencies (i.e. legal, operations, accounting, and tax, etc.) to design and launch new private products.
