Role: Trade Support Analyst
Positions: Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000

Overview of the role:
  • To ensure the timely and accurate processing of our member trades across Equity and Fixed Income. The incumbent must ensure trades are processed efficiently and accurately and any discrepancies are risk managed alongside the Front Office and/or Technical support.
  • Accurate set up, configuration and maintenance of our member static data within the compa and our Clearing Agent systems.
  • Strong understanding and experience in the processing and handling of exceptions via the electronic confirmation platforms DTCC CTM, FIX and Traiana. An understanding of ALERT is also advantageous.
  • Identify and resolve workflow issues; liaise with internal/external departments and members, where appropriate, to resolve outstanding issues, ensuring escalation to immediate manager where necessary.
  • Perform root cause analysis to ongoing issues or identified trends presenting, where possible, solutions to the issue(s) with a focus on gaining efficiencies and reducing risk.
  • Ensure new processes are documented and procedures periodically reviewed to ensure accuracy.
  • Review member performance metrics and provide clarity and insight into specific trends.
  • Represent Trade Support in the weekly risk meetings providing explanations against the reported metrics and any required plans to address/resolve repeated issues.
  • Build a strong working relationship with our Front Office and key vendors.
  • Provide subject matter expertise into any new business initiatives ensuring post trade risks and requirements are understood and considered.
  • To provide a consistently high level of client service to our external and internal clients/stakeholders.
  • Responsible for participating in UAT and in-house testing.
  • Have a conversational level knowledge of key market related initiatives, e.g. T2S, CSDR, Exchange vs OTC.
  • Own the delivery of selected small change projects.
  • Actively participate in meetings/calls.
  • To work closely with the Trade Services Managers and wider team – locally and globally – ensuring support is provided and tasks assigned delivered.
Key skills required:
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ recent Trade Support experience.
  • Knowledge of the full post trade lifecycle is preferred.
  • Equity market experience preferred; Fixed Income experience not essential.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely within a small team or independently, assimilate information, make prompt decisions and share results with colleagues.
  • Ability to work accurately always and be able to multitask.
  • Demonstrate the ability to continuously review and improve processes.
  • Strong customer service ethic with a desire to provide the best service always.
  • It is key that the individual be comfortable using multiple systems and has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Language skills, whilst not essential, would be advantageous.
