Role: Financial Data Analyst 
Position: Permanent 
Salary:  £35,000 - £45,000

Overview of the role:
  • Monitor quality of data captured for regional Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and major indices such as MSCI, FTSE, Nasdaq, SIX, CSI and S&P to improve client experience
  • Analysing corporate actions (CAs) and the relevant application on ETFs and Indices – ensuring accurate data is reflected to clients
  • Troubleshooting of queries from clients requiring in-depth knowledge of ETF workflows
  • Troubleshooting of index related queries from clients which require research and exposure to major providers' calculation & corporate action application methodologies
  • Working together with the team or independently to suggest improvements to data normalisation and aggregation processes, to constantly improve data quality delivered to clients
  • Entrepreneur spirit to problem solve, set up and streamline internal operational processes using VBA, Python, and SQL
Key skills required: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised institution or equivalent experience is required, with preference to business subject areas such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering
  • Fresh graduates to 2 years’ experience
  • Broad understanding and a keen interest in financial markets and reference data, with knowledge and interest in ETFs and indices a plus
  • Ability to work and strive in an entrepreneurial, fast paced, and team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with agile critical thinking and a problem-solving demeanour, with an eye for detail
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent MS Excel skills a must
  • Proficiency in VBA, Python, and SQL advantageous
  • Proactiveness and willingness to learn
