Josh’s recruitment career started back in 2011 when he left his role at Kleinwort Benson Private Bank due to his job being outsourced. Like most candidates facing the risk of redundancy and looking for employment, he found this process incredibly stressful and was shocked by the lack of service he received prompting him to explore a career change into recruitment. He believed that he would be able to provide a better service and was approached by Robert Half International after initially registering there as a candidate. He went on to join their Banking Operation division a month later.
He quickly gained the ability to match the right candidate with the right role. In his first year, he was recognised by Robert Half as ‘Rookie of the Year’ for new joiners in the UK for his achievements. Over the next 3 years, he went on to consistently be the Number one Financial Services recruiter across the UK for Robert Half. During that period he was asked to head up the Banking Operations division and shortly after set up a new Compliance desk, which again proved to be a successful venture with both teams winning Medium Branch of the Year in 2013.
Josh had a short stint at a small family recruitment business before launching William Rose Associates in 2015. Since changing industries, Josh has placed almost 500 business professionals within the Financial Services market.
