ESSENTIAL SKILLS | Lead Settlements Associate
- Extensive experience in Fund Settlements, Fund Dealing, and Fund Management in a UK regulated financial services environment.
- In-depth knowledge of UK financial market regulations and compliance in fund settlements.
- Proven track record in reviewing and improving STP (Straight Through Processing) rates for better efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, adept at handling complex issues.
- Holds relevant industry qualifications (e.g., CISI, IOC, or equivalent).
OVERVIEW | Lead Settlements Associate
The Lead Associate (SME) plays a critical role in the Fund Settlements team, bringing extensive expertise to drive efficient, automated settlement processes while minimising risks and ensuring timely, accurate settlements for both internal and external clients. Key responsibilities include overseeing the Fund Settlement process, monitoring and improving STP rates, providing expert guidance in Fund Dealing and Management, and ensuring fund data is accurate and compliant with regulations. The Lead Associate also manages settlement exceptions, collaborates with Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams, and supports process improvements. They mentor junior team members and ensure adherence to industry standards, while also resolving reconciliation discrepancies.
