Settlement Associate

William Rose Associates is currently partnering with an established Financial Services firm based in London, which is looking for a Settlement Associate to join the firm.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS | Settlement Associate 

1. Experience in equity trade settlements, with strong knowledge of the full trade lifecycle.
2. Excellent communication skills to interact with trading desks, clearers, clients, and post-trade services teams across London, New York, and Asia.
3. Strong market knowledge and understanding of the execution broker’s role in the marketplace.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team of eight, managing priorities and front-to-back processes.
5. Systems experience: FIS Phase3/STN, Bloomberg, Crest GUI, Global One, Swift, DTC, Clearer Portals.

OVERVIEW | Settlement Associate 

This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of market mechanics and conventions. The role focuses on ensuring the timely and accurate pre-matching and settlement of equity trades across multiple international markets, with some exposure to debt products. You will be responsible for overseeing settlements, managing trade queries, preparing fails reporting for senior management, and monitoring risk and funding requirements. The position requires daily use of systems such as FIS Phase3, FIS STN, Intellimatch, Swift, DTC, and clearer portals to manage settlements, failed reports, and trade statuses.
