Job Title: Data and Reporting Analyst
Location: London
Role Overview:
William Rose Associates are working alongside an Asset Management firm based in London which is looking for a Data and Reporting Analyst to join the business.
General Requirement:
• Client and Fund reporting experience within asset management side or vendor solution providers (application software or middle office reporting)
• Cross Product coverage including Equity, Derivatives, Futures and Options
• Strong understanding of a range of performance measurement, performance attribution and general portfolio reporting (see below)
• Able to proactively investigate reporting errors and errors in source data sets
• Attention to detail, organised, self-starter able to run with work streams.
• Experienced working with multiple teams, able to maintain relationships with front office and other stakeholders.
Legacy BAU Responsibilities:
• Responsible for data quality of key investment data set, maintaining and ensuring accuracy of multiple data feeds.
• Daily data validation, able to resolve reference data issues by undertaking analysis of anomalies in reference data and securities classification data.
• Investigating workflow issues and fixing issues with workflow & dependencies
• Able to automate and improve processes whilst also looking to make them as intuitive as possible.... including creation of procedures to document workflow/process
• Able to help team members at month end during heavy reporting cycles to get multiple clients & regulatory reports completed on time.
• Manage and maintain reference data change requests.
MATRIX Implementation Support & Future Operation:
• Data Quality: Able to interrogate databases/systems, able to see why different systems have divergence. Problem shooting, able to fix issue.
• Working with large datasets, able to carry out data cleaning & historical data interrogation.

• Performance Attribution
• Trade Cost Analysis
• Fund Expense reporting (TERs)
• Factsheets
• AUM
• Regulatory (MIFID EMT, PRIIPS, AIFMD, Form ADV & PF, MAS)
Systems Skills:
• MS Excel (advanced), VBA for Excel, advanced formula writing
• Any BI tool like MS PowerBi (advanced)/Tableau
• Power Query
• BBG/BBG Wizard
• SQL not essential but nice to have
• Potentially other tools or languages such as OpenAI or Python.
